I have a stay at DC Grand in a couple of weeks, do I get the triple points automatically? I looked on the site and there is no specific details.

LA, the T&Cs say, "To make reservations by phone, call 866-716-8114 and mention rate plan MAQ4BUS."

So unless you booked on the phone with this code or booked online from the links in this offer, then I doubt you would get the triple points. You'd probably have to cancel and rebook, or call the reservations number to see if you can switch to this rate. Check and make sure that the promo is available for your dates before cancelling your existing rate, of course.


BTW, I think that I first noticed this offer about two weeks ago. It annoyed me since its boundaries of "East Coast" seem very different from mine. Nothing south of the D.C. area is found on the list of participating hotels.

If you book by phone and don't have the promo code, ask your agent to try looking up the rate code. I had it work for Triple Points at the Westin Indianapolis recently.

I've checked out EVERY SINGLE week from now through the end of January at the Westing Grand in Wash DC and there was NO availability with this promotion code... It is a "great" promotion indeed....

Yes, I was able to find availability at Sheraton Edison and Sheraton Atlantic City during Thanksgiving week. I tried Sheraton Inner Harbor (in Balitmore) and found none for Sun through Weds (but didn't try Thurs as I wasn't looking to arrive on a Thursday). , from mid-Nov through end of Jan. There was some availabilty at few other hotels I checked (Westin Embassy Row, I think--can't remember other hotels).

Not too bad of a promo--I'm taking advantage of this in conjunction with the 3K points for 3 stays promo.

Ah Ha - maybe that explains why the Westin Times Square has been sold out every week that I have looked for now and the next 2 months. I wondered what was going on when the W Times Square property had some great rates.

Has anyone had a stay with this promotion where the points posted successfully. I have had 2 stays so far and forget about triple points, I actually got 20% points. For example a $400 2 night stay got me 80 points. I have an inquiry into the help desk, they asked me to fax my bill, but still no response. Just curious if this problem is specific to me.

Do I get 11 points for dollar for taking advantage of this offer as well as the current triple points on all stays offer?
