Over the past few days I have tried to update a booking on line in respect of passport details, phone numbers etc. Also despite being assured that both of our seats selected are ok the internet booking page only shows one of us having a seat booked.
However on submitting the info I keep getting a message "BMI is experiencing technical difficulties try again in 15mins. If it persists ring the Internet Help Desk on 0870...." It persists hence I have just rung the number given. The lady I spoke to despite several attempts really did not understand what the problem was. (There really were language issues), I hence asked to speak to a supervisor to see if they would. At first she told me there were no supervisors. I expressed surprise and said I really would like to speak to one. She then told me that they were all in a meeting! and told me to ring the longhaul desk. I did and of course they rightly said it was an internet help desk issue. Is it me?

Did you book the flight at flybmi.com? I booked my upcoming flight to ORD on expedia and whilst I can access my booking on flybmi and view the seatmaps, when I attempt to change the seat I get the same message as you. I just assumed I couldn't change the seat online because I didn't book at flybmi. Calling the regular number should get you the seats you are after but it really shouldn't be this way should it? Whilst it has never happened to me, I hear that bmi are quite bad with messing around with people's assignments at check in anyway :mad:

yes I booked it direct with bmi
