I've heard rumblings, both here and elsewhere, that El Al will be restarting nonstops to Chicago and introducing nonstops to Miami from TLV. Has El Al officially announced these?

I've heard rumblings, both here and elsewhere, that El Al will be restarting nonstops to Chicago and introducing nonstops to Miami from TLV. Has El Al officially announced these?
They did officially announce them in Israel this past July, but did not give an exact start-up date. Look for MIA to go non-stop in early '06 and O'Hare in mid-'06.

וואי וואי וואי this would be terrific. I so miss being able to do that trip ORD-TLV. Maybe I missed it in a different thread, but any idea(s) which aircraft they'd use for the ORD route?

If I am AA Platinum what benefits would I get if I fly ELAL to MIA in deep discount economy?
Normal miles are 50% so will I get the 100% bonus for a total of 100%
Can I pre-reserve an exit row like on AA?
Any other benefits?

Miami will be a 744/772 mix, ORD will see 772s and 763s.

badatz - Perhaps a more expert AA flyer will know better, but I don't think you/we will get any additional benefits from our beloved EL AL in recognition of Platinum status on AA.

Back in 1999, I took my first overseas trip ORD-TLV on the El-Al 767 nonstop...I was in the back of coach in a middle seat....no fun!

el al miles credit to aa but not as qualifying miles so no bonus.
LY wont recognize your aa platinum status.
