Hertz - Coupon for one-way rental; My IND trip

Just thought I'd let y'all know, the CDP/PC combo for the AA 500 mi bonus + $5 off/day weekend or $20 weekly works for one way rentals. None of the others I tried worked.

For me the choices were...

a) $73 for 4 weekend days, 73 base miles + 500 bonus, no BAP credit, pickup at HLE/return to IND
vs.
b) $65 for 4 weekend days, 130 base miles (double promo), 8 credits for BAP, pickup/return at HLE

c) pickup/return IND was $167

So, being the miles slut that I am, I opted for the miles... now I just need to get my buddies to pick me up from IND :D

Oh, and I guess there's no GLD canopy at the Carmel HLE :(

I know in SJC that a rental at the HLE and return at the airport is not considered a one-way -- they're the equivalent of airline co-terminals. You might have hit the same situation and it's considered a standard round-trip rental.

I found it was a little different. When I rented and returned from IND, I got hit with IND rates, airport tax, and airport concession fee. In the past, I was hit with the same fees when I quoted from SEA, or if SEA was at either end of the rental (HLE>SEA, or SEA>HLE).

Here, I'm renting from the HLE, returning at IND, and getting the HLE quoted price, BUT I can't use most of the coupons because I'm not returning to the same location (but the AA 500mi bonus coupon worked). Also no concession fee or additional airport tax.

I guess ultimate point of my post is, you can use the AA CDP/PC for any rental... no need to return to the same location.
