Anyone what how the two compares? gallagher Oct 5, 05, 2:51 pm if it were long-haul then definately SAA - not to surer about a shoter journey though Darren Oct 7, 05, 9:43 pm I can't compare them since I haven't flown SAA but I have flown Air Mauritius. The seats are comfortable. Like domestic US first class seats. Food was edible but not great. Interesting drink list with one or two special fruity rum drinks (they make a lot of rum in MRU). Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Everything ran on time. tristan727 Oct 16, 05, 1:21 am Seeing as this is the only thread relating to Air Mauritius since '03 - I think I can safely presume that their are no mileage earning/redemption opportunities with them, other than their own program - great shame as the best way of utilising BA miles from Europe to Perth, Australia seems to be to book to Mauritius for half the miles reqd to Australia, then book Air Mauritius direct to Perth. Therefore, presuming I am correct, anyone know if they status match or you can do anything with the mileage you'd get from 1 return trip in Y, even if a lousy $10 hotel voucher or Mag. subscription? magsaysa Oct 21, 05, 7:10 pm there is a mileage program called KestrelFlyer with three different tiers I believe. I remember seeing some fair prices for rewards. magsaysa Oct 21, 05, 7:11 pm there is a mileage program called KestrelFlyer with three different tiers.
