Hi there all, I am looking at the possibility
of an increase in travel owing to performing
contract work.
I'm wondering what if any language those of you who are self-employed have in the contracts you sign w/ your clients WRT preferred carriers, airfare class, ground transportation, change fees, etc.
Do you think demanding they not fly you on carriers such as ATA,AirTran, etc. is being prudent or snobbish?
I realize most people and firms out there are honest and professional, I'm just interested in protecting myself against those who might seem alright up front but try to cheap out by doing things like flying me into DCA when the job is in RIC,getting stuck with change fees, etc.
I don't want to soak people and live it up on their dime(I doubt I'd get much work if I did), but I also want to get there in one piece and be able to go to work for them as soon as I get there.
Thanks,
JD
