Other Middle East and Africa Frequent Flyer Programs - LY 744 4X-ECS new seats in C

I flew to London with LY in C on the 744 4X-ECS today. I think this is the ex-Singapore Airlines aircraft. The flight was originally scheduled to be on the old 747-200, but I guess it was in repair again ...

The seats in C upstairs (it is a 2-class 744 with C upstairs only) have been replaced with new seats which recline until almost complately flat - a great improvement on the old seats. I don't know if it was always configured like this, but there was an additional row of seats at the back on the HK side instead of an extra toilet, making 26 seats rather than 24.

The 747-400s are 4X-EL_ so the plane you refer to is 4X-ELS (the one with the all white tail). This plane indeed used to belong to SQ.

Are you sure it's a new cabin or just the old cabin of SQ?
Did you take a photo of the new cabin?

Sorry - I meant 4X-ELS. Yes, it is a new cabin, and there are fancy foldout cards with info about the seats. The only other time I saw cards like those was on the new seats in the 757 a few weeks ago. Sorry, but I only take a camera on holidays, so no photos.

You need the special adaptor for your laptop (like on the 777)

4x - ELS has the old SQ interior. The upstairs business Class seats are the old SQ business Class seats. The only reason you have the new brochure is because it is a new plane with El Al and they want to show the seat's functions.
Actually the plane is going to be refitted with "EL AL" interior during Sukkoth.
