Just wanted to report that my most recent rental experience w/ Hertz at SLC was everything we should expect from our car rental companies. I booked an intermediate, but had a 2-class upgrade coupon. I needed a vehicle that could fit a long and narrow box. At my layover in ORD, I called ahead to the #1Gold line and asked for the local SLC station ph#. I called that # and was immediately asked if I was #1Gold. When I replied in the afirmative, I was xfered to the SLC #1Gold desk. The gentleman offered me a Grand Marquis, but when I asked him he knew that the rear seat did not fold down, so he booked me a Taurus. Car was waiting for me at SLC (of course) and he even remembered my request and asked me if the car was alright when I checked out. Upon return, the process was quick and the agent was friendly. Everything was smooth, efficient ... how it should be, but rarely is nowadays. ^ ^ ^

I've always found SLC to be a great Hertz station. Almost always get upgraded and zero problems.
