American Express Membership Rewards - 50,000 MR points for upgrade & adding cardmembers

I got a letter yesterday offering 25,000 MR points to upgrade my AMEX gold Business card to AMEX Business Platinum. I called 1-877-315-9162 and they said you are calling to upgrade your gold card to a Platinum before I said anything. They never asked for any offer number and also offered me 5,000 points each to add up to 5 people as additional gold cardmembers at $35 each.

I wish they gave me this promo...I have a Delta Skymiles card

It's $300 to upgrade. I just did it, but that's a lot of money.
