America West FlightFund (Discontinued Program) - Dreaded Zero curse

View Full Version : Dreaded Zero curse

The dreaded zero curse has struck again. When I couldn't log on to the web site and finally (after waiting for several minutes) reached an internet specialist, I was told that FF members whose accounts begin with zeros are being denied access. Moreover, in my case my profile was erased. I was told that my situation has been referred to a special unit which deals with problem situations and that the problem should be rectified in 4 or 5 business days. In the meantime, I can make reservations on the web but they will not be part of my history when my profile comes back on.

This is not the first time the Zero curse struck. It happened once before when the web site was changed.

Maybe the universe of people with zero beginning FF numbers is small, but this is not an encouraging start to putting AWA and USA together.

My FF# is 0000xxxxxxx and it is working fine on the website.

I wonder if we'll be converted to the inane DM format: (7X4L3Z9B6) :td:

I also have a 000 number and have not had any of the problems you're referring to. I sign in with a log-in that is different from my password, though.

Do those of you who are having problems use your FF# or a different log-in? Next time you can log-in, perhaps try setting up a different log-in name and use that for a while. Just an idea. . .

Actually, I rather prefer the Dividend Miles format.

A123B45 is a lot easier to remember than 1234567890.

Maybe it's just me :)

personaly I preffer the DM standar is actually a format of 7 digits, and a 4 digit pin. I have both Fligthfund and DM and like it better!

Got my USAirways Club card today. It has gone from five easy to remember digits to alphabet soup.
