I just was offered and accepted my Centurion card this past week and enrolled all my FF#s over the phone. How long will it take for me to gain status on airlines? I would love to be elite on US Air for a flight in two weeks for upgrade and lounge capabilites. What can I do to make it happen faster?

Couldn't you also show your card in person and receive the benefits?

The Centurion Card itself does not act as your FF program card. From what I remember, it took a week or two before the status showed up on my airline accounts. The card arrived later. Hope that helps!

Centurion Travel couldn't provide me with the answer to this one. So...besides checking my US account daily, I don't really know how to do it.

It took a week or so for the status to show up on my accounts. I bit longer for the cards to come...but the cards don't mean much in the States anyway. As long as you have the number and the status is in the system is all that counts. Hopefully, it will be up when you're 3 days out for the US upgrade.

There is no domestic lounge access on US with the Centurion Card itself...only through the Priority Pass card through Amex Cent and it is very limited on US (includes only the outstation Clubs which are far fewer than they used to be...places like GSO). The Priority Pass card takes longer to process. Of course if you're travelling internationally then you will get in the Club as long as your US account is stepped up to Star Gold by the date of travel.

I think most took a couple of days.

Uh, yeah, but that's sort of irrelevant as you can use your Priority Pass at any of the participating lounges regardless of the airline you're flying with. That was quite handy when flying US Airways out of SFO the other week - no Club in the terminal, no Star Alliance lounge in the terminal, but I could use either the DL CRC or the NW WorldClub.

Mine was slow so I called Centurion and they called the airline. next day, I was called by centurion and told all was well. I then called airline and had them reenter my reservation. When that was done my status showed and I was afforded appropriate benefits.

If you call CENT customer service, they will "expedite it" and they guarantee it within 3 business days. It usually takes 1 or 2.
