Air New Zealand Air Points - Airpoints Prem Y AKL-SIN?

Does anyone know the number of airpoints required to fly in Pacific Premium Economy class AKL-SIN return?

I've called Air NZ customer services 3 times and no one can answer the question. One staff member said 1500 airpoints dollars but when i pointed out that business class was just 500 more the member choked and said they could call me back... That was 2 weeks ago. :mad:

The amount is whatever the fare is in NZ$ - so 1500 sounds about right.

The current discounted business award is 2000 airbucks, but from 1 Oct this increases to 2400 and restricted to Gold Elite, Gold, Silver and Koru Club members only - for everyone else from 1 Oct it is whatever the fare is in NZ$ which is much more.

Thanks for the feedback Kiwi Flyer. I understand the Prem Y service (AKL-SIN) commences in late January 2006. Will be interesting to see how SQ responds to this. If you want more legroom on SQ you have to pay 4x Y class price. More legroom on NZ seems to be pitched at a circa 25% premium. With the increase airbuck requirements now need to make 6 return trips to get a free one. Still beats the old program.
