Hello,
I am trying to figure out how to get my brothers dog up to ROC from PHX this holiday season. I don't know what the cheapest way of doing this is. I know the dog can't be carried on. The dog is approx. 35lbs + weight of a kennel. Does anyone have an airline who is good with transporting them as well as being least expensive? any ideas would help.
Thanks
Steven

I've had good luck flying with my dogs on Alaska Airlines-- they're definitely the least expensive ($75 each way per dog).
But you should put the dog on whatever airline flys direct (or with as few stops as possible). Also make sure that you have the proper veterinarian issued health certificate. They don't always ask for it, but sometimes they do. Also, make sure that the dog can handle colder temperatures if you're going to be flying over the winter holidays. Good luck!

Only thing is Alaskan Airlines doesn't fly into ROC or BUF :(
Let me know any other suggestions.
Thanks
