IC Dusseldorf
last week I was charged for health club access at IC Dusseldorf. Health club is Holmes Place like in many other IC too. Never before I was charged for the fitness centre. And additional in the RA T&C is clearly stated "use of health club facilities shall be complimentary"! Any ideas what to do?

Did you ask to have the charge removed at checkout? I have had the charge applied to the account but always gotten it removed at checkout- gently remind the clerk that RA covers gym access. At this point I would call the hotel and ask to speak to the billing department to get a credit issued, which could be a bit of a production. For less than 20 euros it probably isn't worth the time.

Yes I asked the clerk to remove the charge, the answer was: "Sorry, we know that other Hotels (like Cologne) calculate +15,- to all room rates, but we dont. Maybe we will do so in future".
BTW I was charged 45,- so it is worth a little hassle.

I just called the back office and got credit for the health club charge. The clerk say they do it because they did not open their own gym yet (it is still under construction). Could mean that after opening it, it will cost. Or they rise the rate so that holmes place charge is covered.

At the IC Cologne, the check out assistant was the first to admit they do sometimes make mistakes (just before removing the movie she spotted on the bill before :)).

I visited the hotel last week - but did not stay there - to get an impression of this hotel. I asked about the fitness facilities and was answered by check in staff, they do not charge Ambassadors and Platinum Ambassador in the moment as the Fitness Suites (?) are not ready yet.
