Child Restraints in Business Premier

So what does one do? Will the "specially designed infant seatbelt" restrain a child as car seat does? I am not worried abour airbags or flying into solid objects, I amore concerned about a child being restrained in a device where it can be comfortable, sleep and not disturb those around it.
I would like to see a picture of NZ's offering.
So if I buy a seat for my <2 year old, will she be secure in the seat and not roll around?

I'm afraid I can't quite picture how this will work. The only workable solution that I can see, is for her to travel with her mother in economy while I ride up front :D

Sorry to revive a two-year old thread, but it's the closest I could find on a search.

I'm traveling SYD-AKL in September with my wife and 7-month-old son. Our original flights were on the 767, but it looks like the outbound has now been switched to the 777. I'm excited to try the new business class, but I'm not sure what to do about the baby. He'll be traveling in his car seat, but according to the posting above and the Air NZ site, the car seat won't work with the BP seats.

Any thoughts as to what we should do? I certainly don't want to switch to a later flight that is baby-seat compatible, and holding him as a lap baby seems like a waste of the (already purchased) business-class fare.

Business premier has bassinets. Put in a request for the bassinet seat.

I phoned last week about our HKG-AKL trip in BP next year and was offered 10FK or 16AK. We went for 10FK.

Any thoughts as to what we should do?Even with his own seat on a 767 he would still have to be in your lap for takeoff and landing? So that wouldn't be any different on a 777? And if he sleeps just as well lying down as he would in a car seat then that shouldn't be a problem either? Because he would be in the lie-flat seat? [I'm guessing at 7 months he won't move around much when asleep - but he could easily enough be swaddled / tucked in if he tries.]

And presumably that just leaves what to do with him outside of take-off and landing, when he's awake? On that count, on a short flight, you might just be forced to take turns to hold him.

Otherwise I'm with KiwiFlyer. Cash in his seat, and book a bassinet position.
