Hertz - Do HLE's accept Upgrade/Points coupons?

I'm trying to do a pick up at the Broad Street HLE in Falls Church, VA for a 3-day corporate rental. I want to use a double upgrade online coupon. Using my work CDP, which I have to use for insurance purposes, and even without it, I am given a "CANNOT BE QUOTED" in the rate field when I enter an upgrade coupon. Is it just this HLE or is it all HLE's? It's not my corporate CDP since I've rented using my corporate CDP and I have used coupons with it at airport locations. I wouldn't mind using bonus point or UG coupons - but Hertz.com won't let me. Does this happen with all HLEs?

Thanks!

I think this is not so much an HLE issue as it is an issue with the revamped hertz.com website which seems to have "improved" the reservation process.

Hertz.com seems to be programmed to allow only certain permutations and to pull rates from different rate buckets. Aside from the coupons/promos I receive as a 5-star, nearly every other coupon (AAA, Entertainment, Airline, CreditCard) seems to pull from a different rate bucket. As a result, I pretty much have given up on using all those stray coupons.

Sure, the Entertainment coupon will give me $5 off a weekend day, but when you use the proper CDP and PC -- which hertz.com forces you to do -- the rate jumps by $4-6 or higher, making the coupon irrelevent.

If you have an upgrade coupon, I would take it with you to the HLE. I have found most Hertz staff try to accomodate.

It's a double UG coupon - I called the HLE & told the manager there that I've got a double UG coupon & he said he'd note it in my PNR & see what he can do. The reservation is still a few weeks away, but I figure the earlier the better, especially with this HLE which doesn't seem to have its own inventory, but just pulls inventory on a needs basis from another HLE. They're so new that the last 2 times I've rented from them, I've had to have them fax me my receipt from another location since they don't have their receipt printers up!
