Hertz - Combining award with reg. rental

Can you combine an award cert. with a regular rental? I have some points I need to use but want a weekly rental. Also do you get credit for the rental doing it this way?

I don't want to use points, then return the car and rent another car at regular rate. Thanks.

Yes you can combine. I am doing a combination rental in August. Part is paid for by use of a certificate, part is me paying for it. Mine was easily done via the web, just inserted the PC number and it subtracted my certificate and gave me the balance for the rest of the rental.

Not sure what type of certificate that you have, but they typically just use any coupons/certificates/etc. all the same -- they'll take them and staple to your copy of the contract when you pick up and any free days/discounts will get subtracted from the total when you drop off.
