A friend is getting a surprise trip aboard US, arriving on Jan 14 at 1:42 PM at a warm, sunny place. We're trying to figure out this destination but are coming up empty handed. Anyone know what destination gets a US flight on Jan 14 at 1:42 PM?

it would help the search process if we knew the origin city. and, why don't you just ask them?

All my friend knows is that he has an *early* morning departure from Dulles. The flight is not on United. It is US Airways. That he knows for certain.

(As for asking, it's a birthday trip from a lady-friend so my friend is reluctant to ruin the surprise she's cooking up by asking.)

Are you certain about the time/airline? A quick search of the current US system timetable (searching the pdf file for "1:42p") turns up nothing more exciting than DEN, PWM, SCE, IAD, CHA, ORD, RNO, SBA. Santa Barbara's about as close to sunny and warm as those get. Dulles-SFO, puddle-jumper to SBA?

I don't know how far out the current schedule is effective.

Shame to spoil the surprise, in any case.

Stop looking any further ! ! ! Spoiling a great surprise like this seems like an awful thing to do, especially when the info was supplied in hopes of making the recipient all the more excited for the unknown getaway.

That said, if she suspected he'd enlist the CIA to uncover the flight specs, she may well have supplied some slightly less than accurate flight specs, as well. If so, good for her. ^

Shame to know for months where the destination is when the giver wants it to be a surprise.
