California - LaCosta Resort Carlsbad CA-Which Room?

Convention in Nov. Have been given a Plaza King Room, "conveniently located in the center of the resort." We have been conveniently located in halls next to the bar, in rooms with air conditioning that ran constantly so cold and loud we turned it off and sweated, on the main floor near everyone, on the main courtyard awakened at 6:00 am by gardeners discussing the night before, a floor under the nightclub and band (we slept well, we like music). Meanwhile collegues and people who work for us are sleeping great 30 stories up,with a view of the water, huge suite with a bathroom twice the size of our whole room. Anybody stay here? Is there a better area, floor, whatever to call and ask politely for?

I'm a local - so no help from me - but I have used the spa, which is awesome. If you buy one service, you can hang out at the spa pool and surrounding area for as many hours as you want. It is really a lovely place to unwind.
