Thousands in dispute..
Hello AMEX Experts.. I have had thousands of dollars in dispute last month.. at the end of the day, those charges were confirmed to be fraud.. so, does that affect my records with amex in any way?

How often does anyone here dispute charges?
I charge a lot to mine, and have just yesterday put in dispute only my second item for the year. Just curious what the threshold is, if there is one.
I've only had occasion to query one charge in five years - which was a duplicate - and that was remedied before the end of the month without formal dispute.
Several week ago I disputed an obvious duplicate charge, it posted as the final transaction in one billing cycle and again as the first charge in the next cycle. Amex posted a credit within 48 hours, but now we have received a letter suggesting that it is still under investigation.
This week I disputed a small "unrecognized" charge on another American Express account and they have not yet acted.

I have had about 6 occasions when there have been fraudulent transactions on my account and about two other occasions when Amex have sent me a new card saying that they thought it might be compromised. The worst was about 3,800 Euros taken from an ATM in Milan.
They have always refunded the money and said they would investigate.

My concern is that in less than a year dispute charges go up 10,000 dlls.. all events in the US and Japan.. and last month I received the “temporal credit” 20 days after reporting.. they said that was because a supervisor needed to approve the credit because of the several events.. so, I though it coud be bad for the records... there is nothing you can do right?..
