More Clues! - Added on September 7, 2005 at 12:30pm ET:

Okay, we don’t like telling our customers where to go…

…but we thought you might like some additional clues for our 15th birthday treasure hunt sale. And when you are reading these clues, don’t forget, the $15* fares might be available on your departure or return depending on which city you live in.

If you live in South Florida, you might want to go South of the Border for a margarita!
If you live near our Nation’s Capital, Aunt Myrtle called and she wants you to fly south!
Uncle Washington loves Motown!
Hey Motor City, how about a margarita?
People in the Windy City love South Florida.
If you live in Southern New Jersey, you might consider a trip to the west coast of Florida and if live in Tampa you might get a great deal on your return trip from Southern New Jersey
If you live in New England, you might want to paa(r)k the caa(r) in Providence and have a wicked good time in 4 of our tropical destinations.
People in the Big Apple love South Florida oranges.
If you call the Nation’s Capital home, you might like to enjoy oranges in the Venice of America, a margarita, or to relax on an island in the Caribbean.

Looked for a few minutes and found some $15 fares from Bos-San Juan, but I'm not tempted as the return fare is not discounted.

Yeah - found DCA-CUN on 9/21 for $15, but the return is $178, so the total after taxes is almost $300... Not a bad price, but not a great one either. I'm not biting.

peace,

That's one way to solve the country's so-called immigration problems. ;)

It's a good fare, if you were looking for a particular itinerary, like LGA-FLL. Otherwise, it doesn't seem worthy of spending a day doing an MR.

Especially since Spirit doesn't have mileage plan!

Well, it looks like one can get for instance a $15 ($43 all-in) OW DCA-SJU and then seperately buy a OW on CO for $140 all in. Total of $180 RT all in for a trip to SJU in Sept. ain't bad and at least you get miles half way...

peace,
~Ben~

Booked a LGA-FLL for the $15, then a FLL-SJU for $15, then possible to book a o/w back to NYC (CO/UA/AA/DL) for as low as $59. I started my trip in SJU, dates that worked are 9/29 LGA-FLL & 10/2 FLL-SJU.

You can actually connect on the same day LGA-FLL-SJU ... you just have to buy the segments separately. Combining the two segments into one itinerary on spirit's website changed the price. This works on Saturday 17 Sep ... arriving in SJU around 1:30pm. You can then take a one-way fare back to NYC on US/DL/CO on Sunday or Monday for a weekend in SJU for around USD200 all-in I believe.
