FYI.....I just called the SPG timeshare promotion number 1 800-553-0464 and was told no promotions exist for Kauai at this time :( . I was quite disappointed since we would love to check out their new timeshare villas and stay at the Princeville....is anyone accepting names on their friends referral sheet that has purchased a villa in Kauai recently????

They have barely broken ground on the *wood Princeville Resort (June) and I don't think the units are being sold yet. There is a law limiting how far before actual occupancy that you can start selling a timeshare property.

I believe the current offer for Kauai is actually promoting their newest Maui TS which is being built adjacent to the Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas. Email me for more info. about being referred.

I sent an email your way.....we are already owners in Maui so we are only interested in the Kauai Timeshare/Princeville promotion this time.

I posted on another thread, but it's buried 4 pages in and this might get more visibility....

I can't help with Princeville, but I can sign folks up for offers at Ka'anapalli North on Maui. PM me with name, address, phone, email (please be sure to provide all the needed info) and I'll pass it along.

I've been told by SVO that they won't provide the offer by phone anymore, it needs to be via referral, and this seems to back that up.

I took advantage of the offer from a fellow FT'er and I can tell you get what is promised - low room rates, a car for a net of $100/5 days, vouchers, coupons, etc. The only catch/risk is that if you attend the (non-required but another $100 if you do) SVO presentation, you may walk away with a green owner's bag and a check to write. ;)

Regarding sales in advance - I purchased at Ka'anapalli 3 weeks ago and it will be ready for occupancy in May, 2007, so they have at least 20+ months that they can sell before opening.

According to www.mystarcentral.com, owners are not eligible for the promotion - sorry. :(

You know, I just don't get the logic here. I would think that existing owners are at least as likely to be purchasers of other units ...we already know and like the program. I don't have a great deal of interest, however, in going to check a place out at full price when I know others are there on a promo.
