Hi,

I currently have T-Mobile as my cellular provider. I would like to get a PDA phone which has wireless capability. Any add on features, e.g. bluetooth would be great, but not necessary.

Since I already have a phone from T-Mobile, the one I got when I signed up for my service plan, I am not sure whether I need to get the new PDA phone through T-Mobile or if I need to get an unlocked phone from the market.

Any suggestions on PDA phones and the best way to go about getting one would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
RJ

The T-mobile selection is useless for you. Your best bet is to do this:

If you are out of the contract; call them and get a nice brand new phone at as low a cost as possible, and sell that on Ebay.

Put that money towards a nice unlocked, unbranded PDA/PocketPC Phone from a reputable dealer like Expansys.

Problem solved :)

The next question of course is; what to buy....

T-Mobile will be introducing new PdA Phones in the ~October timeframe. If yo're willing to extend your contract for a year they should be able to give you relatively good pricing.

One example:

I've been out of touch on this topic but probably there's more info on engadget or howard forums.

Get a Treo 650 from any inexpensive source. You can ask T-mobile about it and they will tell you that they don't carry it yet. As the other poster said just get any good phone they offer you (if you are a good customer and out of contract on month to month they should offer you a 100$ rebate if you are persistent) and sell it on ebay (you could get the Razr) and you should also be able to get 1 free month. This will require to sign a new 1 year contract.
