I have been looking to upgrade my mobile communications to something like the Ipaq Mobile Messenger. I see lots of products offering GPRS but is there something out there that will handle Cell phone, camera, email, etc. in Europe AND allow the option to take advantage of the faster WiFi access when I find those Hot Spots?

The (older) ipaq 63xx mobile messenger has WiFi. And so do most of the upcoming devices from HTC (do a search for the HTC Wizzard). The high end PDA's from HTC already have WiFi. The Nokia 9500 also has it.

And for devices that don't; adding it with a CompactFlash or SD card is pretty easy.

HTC's universal device looks very impressive. Also being sold as the i-mate JasJar:

Beware of buying one of these from a mobile operator though. I know of at least one (Orange) who have asked HTC to disable the WiFi (I'm trying very hard not to type a string of expletives at the thought of that).
