Sorry if this was asked before.
Which ANA lounge at NRT International is better - ANA Business Lounge OR Signet Lounge? (I am Star Alliance Gold travelling on ANA Business Class)
Thank you for your input.

I believe it was the Signet I used last time I flew from this terminal. Quite honestly I was very unimpressed. Poor selection of drinks, food and other amenities. Ranks down there with the lounge STAR carriers use at TLV.

There is no ANA Businese lounge, it is either ClubANA or Signet, the two ClubANA and the two Signet in NRT are the same quality, none of them had shower facilities inside the lounge, you had to ask the lounge attendant for that. If you smoke, one of the ClubANA do have a smoking section. Both Signet do seem sightly better than ClubANA.

I don't think there's that much of a difference but I do prefer the Signet. The Club ANA in the satellite I think is a little small. The Signet has a changing room and massage chairs which can be useful.
I've always been puzzled why ANA makes the distinction at all, and which customer they're trying to "reward" with this. It seems to me that the Signet is better and is available to *G even if they are not on ANA business class, while a full-fare ANA business class passenger who is not *G can't access the Signet. Other airlines seem to have the opposite reward structure (SQ for example).
both of the lounges are very dull and uninspiring... definetely nothing to
write home about. i think the general idea is that ANA wants to treat their
higher tier client base (equating to *G) better, so when i check in for a flight
in business class as *Gold, they always invite me to the Signet. having said
that, i think they have SLIGHTLY better food options and maybe a massage chair that the Club ANA lounge lacks. the club ana lounge is bigger and has a
AV room in the satellite if i remember correctly. either way, both are very similar, and you won't miss much by not going to the other. the japanese
airlines seem to view lounges with low priority...we'll see if that changes once
ANA moves to terminal 1 (not for a while).

Couldn't agree more, I believe they are all moving early next year (March?). I would suspect to find one of those *A lounges in the new terminal as found in Zurich and NGO. These are the days of cost cutting remember..............

I like the signet lounge better. On my last trip traveling in ANA business I was able to check out both lounges. The Club ANA lounge was crowded and small. My travel partner and I had the Signet Lounge all to ourselves. Also, the signet lounge has free massage chairs on the right side, plus easy to follow instructions for mixing your own drinks at the bar. :)
I think they are basically the same lounge. However, the Signet lounge seems less crowded and has the free massage chairs.
Hope ANA will do something to improve the quality of its lounges at NRT.
Depends which terminal you fly out of. In T2 Main, I like the Cub ANA (upstairs) over the Signet. The signet (near the Yahoo cafe) is small and congested.
In T2 satellite, both are OK but the signet having an edge.
Club ANA also has the massaging chairs in T2 Satellite but none in the signet in T2 Main.

Minor point, but I'm sure I've used the massage chairs in the Signet Lounge in T2 Main -- the one just after immigration and on the same level. The chairs are on the right side after you enter. I think you can get an alarm clock as well!

Definitely my mistake then - but thanks for pointing that out. I've rarely gone to the right in that lounge except to quickly store my rollaboard. The lounges are a maze sometimes (my last trip 3 weeks ago I got lost in the Club ANA lounge trying to find the exit LOL) and I'm one of those people who live sad compressed lives: I get into lounges usually to do only one of these things: check email, get some coffee and if I can, quickly scan the headlines on newspapers.

What's all the fuss about these massage chairs ? Is this something I have missed in life before ?
My opinion of the ANA lounges was that they are of an inferiour standard compared to other airlines - especially NRT being their base for international flights in Japan. Overall lounge visits with ANA are quite disappointing.
