US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-2005 America West merger) - Now that BA is no longer a partner....

Now that the BA codeshare is terminating at the end of Oct, I'm wondering what my newly converted *A miles  are worth?

What awards should I be looking to redeem them for?

Now I know someone will eventually mention SQ F, but let's be real. Scoring two SQ F seats makes getting freaky with JLo(insert gorgeous woman of your choice) seem like a real possibility.

Outside of SQ very little excites me about *. I'm not too thrilled about LH or UA. I know *A is big, but that really doesn't mean much to me. Am I missing something?

Not sure why you are so hung-up about BA, other than the non-stop from PHX-LHR (is this the majority of your flying? If so, then I understand). I have flown both BA and LH to Europe in first, and BA certainly was not better (not worse either, just 'different'). Would be cool if LH would re-start the non-stop PHX-FRA, but not much chance of that in the near-term. How about NH to Asia? With the new suites, it is quite 'sweet'. Difficult to get anything except Ted out of PHX domestically, so that s*cks. But you would use HP (or whatever their new symbol will be) for that anyways. I think if you look at the bright side, you will see that a whole lot of additional new options are now (or soon will be) available to you!!!

Try anything in LH F through FRA. The new F terminal gives any other airline a run for the money. ^

BA is definitely a comfortable and world class airline.

But when it comes to service across the pond, you're losing BA, and gaining TAP, Lufthansa, BMI, Austrian, LOT, SAS, not to mention Air NZ, US, Air Canada, United, and SQ which also offer US <-> Europe service.

Granted several of those are inferior products to BA (which ones are open to personal interpretation), but others are just as good if not better (again, personal interpretation).

If you travel PHX - LON frequently, then yes, I understand your gripe. Otherwise, it doesn't look like you're making a bad trade. :)

Welcome to the Star Alliance!

I flew Business LH from LAX-Munich.. was very nice. The flight attendants were very attentive... the new seats are very comfortable.. and was quite happy with the experience, did blow away any United Business Class long haul. So LH is no where as bad as you think it is.
