Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer - About to lose my PPS status

Due to the arcane company policy on flying in Business class, I have only 34k PPS qualifying miles this year, and it is unlikely I'll re-qualify (which is a shame because I've got close to 100k miles on SQ metal this year).
Is it true that I will lose Silverkris lounge access? What about elite check-in?
I know it may not seem like much, but the lounge access is very helpful to me.
I don't suppose there is any way around paying the difference to my company next time I take a coach trans-pacific before the deadline, right? Although that would be far out of my personal budget. And what day is the deadline by the way?

Assuming SQ is still doing the unpublished benefit of applying averaging to requalification, then you may still requalify for PPS provided either
at least 12.5 PPS sectors current requalification period AND average over 25 PPS sectors since first qualified
OR
at least 25,000 PPS miles current requalification period AND average over 50,000 PPS miles since first qualified
In the event dont requalify, 100k earned KF miles is plenty for Gold Elite ie *G status. So access to all *G lounges - unfortunately SKL in SIN isnt one of them but the new premier lounge is reportedly not bad (much better than the old one). Also elite check-in (special *G check-in line).
I know of some FTers who personally pay the difference between the fare their employer will pay for and a higher class of travel they wish to use.

Thanks for that.
I have 17.5 sectors in this period. I first qualified last year (October, I think) by squeeking in with a hair over 50k miles, though I dont recall how many sectors in that first year.
Sounds as if I'm going to come up short even with averaging, no?
The problem with paying cash is the huge difference in an economy vs. Raffles ticket from EWR to SIN. Can get close to $3000 in some cases.

Yes seems you will be short. If you have earnt 100k miles on KF this year then you should qualify as Gold Elite (note different qualification period though) as this only needs 50k miles.

You may want to consider Mileage Run (ex: CMB-SIN-LAX/SFO for ~$1500 in Raffles http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4529063#post4529063 )
If you had over 50,000 PPS miles last year then, unless you were flying only direct transpacific flights, you probably have well over 25 PPS sectors -- perhaps even the 32.5 that would be needed. You can check online.

Hi rbenton88: How is the update on this matters? Did you do a PPS-run? Did the averaging work?
