I spoke to the Platinum Congierge/Travel the other day about the fact that we Australian members do not recieve a Priority Pass or similar. They were little help.
I find it frustrating that the benefits are not more universal. Does the black card recieve this perhaps? They didn't mention it.

I found it furstrating being a US Plat Cardholder in AU- no access to Qantas Clubs! For a card that is to be use by worldly travelers- it will only get you in CO, DL, and NW clubs? What a joke....
Amex does not to work on this world wide....

as the s'pore cards track the aussie benefits, i'm also hoping for a more features on the plat. at S$1200, it's quite a bad value compared to the visa infinite at S$1500 - which though not must better at least offers exclusivity (11,000 cards issued in Asia-Pac in total end 2004) and PP

This isn't true. You do get PP in Australia.
Also, I think the issue with not having a relationship with Qantas is more an issue with living in a country with a monopoly premium airline. QF has no competition so don't need to join programs like Amex' Centurion to appeal to customers... that's just our bad luck.

Just to clarify, you do get PP for Australian Centurion, not for Platinum in Australia. I enquired and was told it is not a feature of the card. If there is a way to get one for Platinum, I would love to know.
You can join this PP program though, but that is beside the point. Also, no worth it domestically, only internationally.
I like your comment regarding Qantas... that's just our bad luck.

the gold status on QF is no use when traveling internationally on non-OW airlines. And as some of my travel is in Y it would be nice to get access to lounges without having to pay an entrance fee myself.
