I am planning on a FRA - PBI flight this October and want to use my DMs to upgrade to Envoy. Looking that the US website I am unsure what codes are currently upgradeable.

In the past I have upgraded V codes to Envoy but now I am not sure. The website is not clear on what is currently being used.
Another question, if I am unable to upgrade shortly after I purchase the ticket (my plan) should I then call shortly before flight time to see if any consolidators have released some seats?

I see that V has been eliminated from that list but the rest remain.
Thanks for the clear info. ^
DRAT!
I found a decent fare to London over Thanksgiving but it is a W fare. Thanks for the info here though...good answers.

If you want to upgrade in one direction only, you can call US and they will ticket an eligible "miles upgrade" fare in one direction and the low fare class in the other. I've had no problem splitting fare classes and upgrading one way in the past.

Is there any way to see what fare code a purchased itinerary is, short of calling US Airways directly?

On the web site, after you select a flight (but BEFORE you pay for it!), there is a window that says "Please review itinerary and rules". Click on the View Rules link that appears to the right. This will bring up a window that shows the rules for each segmen, and the first letter shows the booking code. For example, I just pulled up a roundtrip fare from RDU-LGW leaving this Sat and returning the following Sat (only $1,942!). The PHL-LGW segment shows as B2GB, which is a B booking code, upgradeable with 10k miles.
