I've got a Platinum Amex and was just wondering: I'm flying Continental but they don't have a lounge in MIA. Can I use the Delta lounge even though technically I'm supposed to have access only if I'm flying Delta?
I'm asking because I know there are lounges that are pretty lenient with the restrictions and in fact, the last few times I've been to CO Presidents Clubs, they haven't even checked my ticket, they just swiped my card. I'm wondering if it's the same for Delta Crown Rooms.
Thanks for any info, I've got an early flight Sunday morning but I'm not planning on sleeping Saturday night :) and a lounge would be awesome then!

Not according to the rules. If you get in, you're lucky. If you read the T&C, it specifically says the metal and lounge must match - no codeshares, etc.

Believe me, the MIA Crown Club is a disappointment. It's tiny. Lack of drink/food selection.
I peeked in a few days ago. The attendant wasn't around, I didn't bother to find the attendant and left. It's like feel free to come in if you don't mind. :td:

I've never tried a Crown Room Club, but I have failed at this same attempt with two Northwest WorldClubs. Even when entitled to enter, they study my platinum card, ID, and boarding pass like I'm a terrorist trying to get through customs. Maybe Delta will be more lenient. Goodness knows that NW's strictness hasn't resulted in any particular enhancements to the lounge experience...

I was on a Delta coded flight that was operated by Air France and they wouldn't let me into the Crown Room, so if I couldn't even get in with a Delta ticket, I wouldn't bet on you getting in.
