Can anyone help me out with some info on ticket prices from PHL/CDG?
I'm planning to take a group of high school students to Paris in May or June and am trying to plan my strategy of when to buy tickets--since these are students, we are trying to get rock bottom prices which I know is going to be a challenge in June. Right now US is showing @ $1200 for June and @ $700 for the May dates I'm looking at.
Based on past history, when does US usually do its fall fare sales? Does anyone have any advice for when to buy these tickets? I fly transatlantic lot on US (CP) but usually plan about a month out and I'm not always the one paying for it so I'm not sure what to do in this case.
Thanks in advance!

Fall sales typically only last until the end of April, if I remember correctly. Also, look at driving up to EWR and connect through PHL to get the cheaper NYC-CDG fares.

I believe there are student fares available, which are often significantly cheaper than even sale fares with less restrictions. Check out student travel agencies such as STA Travel. If you are looking to bring a large group in the peak travel season, book early for best seat availability. Hope this helps.

If they were going to drive up to EWR/JFK, why not just fly non-stop to CDG instead of connecting in PHL (or anywhere)? Connecting with a large group is not an easy task! I believe AI flies non-stop EWR-CDG, which often offers the lowest fare regardless of connecting or not.

You should call US - there are student fares and group rates might also apply.
