Ok, for everyone who thinks the Centurion card is too diluted and the agents are OK at best there is hope. Amex has a division that caters to the top tier Centurion clients. It is commonly referred to as their "entertainment division". This division will cater to celebrities and well known CEO's. You will encounter the same rep when you call (provided they are working) and will go above and beyond the call of duty for you.
Just thought you might be interested (considering Centurion dominates the Amex forum)
Mike
P.S.--Please do not call and insist on being assigned to this division. ;)
This extra service exists in Germany, too. Itīs not restricted to celebrities, though. Otherwise, same thing.

So how does one get to these super agents short of becoming filthy rich or famous?

The Entertainment Division also approves Centurion Cards for celebrities,
that would not normally qualify for the card under their current criteria.
My questions is what constitutes a celebrity?

hi
my friend is one of these ultras in germany.
he got a seperate number for his calls.
he is spending around 500K a month on his card, so i think you have to spent more than 1-2 million a year to get a letter from the management .

That is a good question, indeed! I would assume local celebs only, in the US? (based on a close friend's story).
Someone at this department must have created a certain set of rules for a person to be qualified as a celebrity (by the department standards). I bet that would be an interesting read.

I'm not A-list material by any means but I always get to talk to the same Amex-rep in the lifestyle department and she always goes above and beyond her call of duty.
My secret?
I call the general number and ask for her again and again and again :-)
Travel, well that's another ballgame, haven't found anyone above par yet, but they try and try and try.
