The webpage says: "As a tribute to the airlines that have joined together over the years to form the new US Airways, several 'heritage' aircraft will be painted in the classic paint schemes of these airlines." Pretty cool!

At least one 767 should get the Piedmont look. They once had it...

I hope one plane retains the classis livery. I know the classic livery will not be gone totally for the next couple of years however, I hope they keep one at least. Yes it is not great for hot weather. But a freshly painted US Airways dark classic livery still is a beautiful aircraft in my book.

I do like how they are going to have the Theme planes. I wounder what LI4P thinks of that?

Me too! It fits in with Hawaii perfectly. I've always considered the US Air livery to be suitable for only hearses. :D

Very nice! I love what they have done with it; much better then I had anticipated. I will miss the classic navy blue though :(
