US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - CLT-LGW DM Coach Award - Can I Upgrade?

I have two DM coach award tickets (50K miles/each) for CLT-LGW next week.

Is there any way possible that I can upgrade these to envoy?

I read that the upgrade certs available on Ebay don't apply to standard awards.

I don't believe award tickets are upgradeable by any means.

Unfortunately the DM coach award tickets are NEVER upgradeable on international flights. They are not supposed to be on domestic awards either, but I've found that status can help in some instances.

Thanks. I presume that "not by any means" also includes just walking up and asking "nicely" for a complimentary upgrade (assuming there are many empty envoy seats)? I am guessing they don't do that any longer? Or, would they do that if it was a paid ticket and not DM?

The double mile coach awards are most certainly upgradeable. I didn't note the OP's US status, but if they're CP, they can book the 100k coach award (if the 80k envoy is not available) and upgrade with the SWUs given to CPs.

As for domestic awards, two weeks ago I was travelling with my mom. I was on a paid ticket and she was on a bump voucher ticket. The agent in CLT upgraded my mom after I asked if there was anyway that could be done. The agent's exact words were "we always try to kiss up to our CPs."

My CLT experience on Friday was quite unimpressive, including, but not limited to, the GA that told us the flight was delayed and we should be back in the gate area by 7pm in order to board for a 7:30pm departure.

It was 7:05pm at the time.
