"When America West and US Airways complete their merger this fall, the combined airline will integrate the two carriers’ vacation-packaging operations as US Airways Vacations, bringing in-house some of the programs that used to be outsourced to the Mark Travel Corp., according to Beth Nickerson, America West’s director of marketing."

Still, Nickerson acknowledged it may be more economical to outsource for destinations where America West has not previously flown or offered vacation packages. The companies are in preliminary discussions about which operations will be outsourced to Mark Travel, she said."
