US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Orbitz seating not showing?

Anyone have any idea why Orbitz is showing seating maps for other airlines but US Airway's seem to have disappeared?
I'm flying LGW to PHL on the 29th and I look at both fare buckets and the less reliable seating maps for upgrade chances......

I noticed that too. I usually use that to see which seats are open after an upgrade has cleared. That was by far the easiest method to check for open seats. If you go through and start to process your reservation you can eventually see a seat map.....but its too much work.
:td: Actually, all of their seating maps seem to be gone. This was my favorite Orbitz feature and actually why i ended up booking through them sometimes. Isn't there another way to get availibility somewhere-though i can't imagine it being easier than Orbitz.

Wave -- I don't think it's all airlines. I checked some other airlines and their seating charts were available. Weird.

I have to hand it to Orbitz, they are fast with email replies:
"At the moment, due to some technical error seat map is not available for viewing. We are aware of this technical problem of the online seat assignment and our technical team is working on it. We appreciate your patience as we resolve this issue. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused."

How do you view the seat maps without setting up the reservation first?
Thanks!

If you do a search for flights on Orbitz, each flight has a line that lists class of service/flight duration/aircraft/ and a link "view seats" if its available for that airline. This will only show assigned seats, there may be more "sold" seats that have yet to be placed so its not always accurate.
Expedia has something similar that is currently working for US thats something like "preview seating" but doesn't show the layout as well as Orbitz (some Envoy bulkheads not shown).

I've switched to Expedia or I use the US site though that can be tedious...

I do book book with usairways.com. I use the other websites for seating status after I've booked to hazard a guess at upgrade chances or see if I have an empty seat next to me.

Thats great news thank for flying with US Airways, US Airways Express, US Airways Shuttle! ;)
It's FINALLY working again for US and UA (and also most other carriers inc. AA and NW), but still not for America West, CO, and Delta

Well, seat maps now show up for US but not for a bunch of others, including a lot of Delta flights, Continental and America West. Quite the bug fix they put in :)
