Independence Air iClub - Don't Pluck My Feathers!!

As we all know if Independence Air were not at IAD the management at United Air would jack-up the prices at Dulles through the roof. We will be like chickens getting out feathers plucked clean. I fly up to Boston every few weeks. United is already increasing their prices. US Airways out of Reagan wants $430 RT!! At BWI an hour drive away, Airtran is a swinger with $88 RT. Independence Air is a diamond in the rough for a sharp player who wants to get into the airline business. Just put satellite TV in the back of the seats on the A319s and you've got another Jet Blue hands down, no sweat. Maybe a Carl Icahn or T. Boone Pickens is keeping close tabs on developments. Here is a strategy: drop into Chapter 11, dump the CRJs, keep the A319s (as far as I am concerned they are have the best looking paint job out there, Hooters Air takes number two), and establish a SECOND hub out of Charlotte which badly needs a discount airline. If one of the legacy carriers finally croaks go after those routes like hot butter on a corn cob!
