Other Asian, Australian and South Pacific Frequent Flyer Programs - MH - IFE systems

I'm not technically a frequent flyer, though I do fly regularly. I have a question about the status of IFE on Malaysia's long haul aircraft. I am flying MAN-MEL and SYD-MAN (via KUL, obviously) on 744 and 777, and was wondering what the odds of getting an aircraft equipped with the 3000i AVOD system is?

Dont know about the 777's but if you go *here* (http://ofs.malaysiaairlines.com) and input your details, if your flight is on a 744 then it is the new layout and AVOD IFE system, if it listed as being on a 747 then it is the old layout with a standard IFE system.

Excellent - shows as having SYD-KUL and KUL-MAN as AVOD. MAN-KUL is 747, and KUL-MEL is 777 so cannot find out. Thanks for the link!

Which class will you be flying in? I was in F from BKK-KUL-JNB-CPT-EZE last week, and it was the "Old" F cabin. But the IFE was actually AVOD, there were plenty of choices, and you could make your own Audio jukebox. Is this the "old" IFE, or did they install the new one before they install the new seating, I wonder?
