I have a meeting in late September at an address: Omogade 8, Copenhagen, 2100. Never been to Denmark...any suggestions on nearby Scandic properties. Never been to a Scandic property either. As a HH Diamond, what benefits would I receive?
Thanks.

The closest Scandic hotel is the Scandic Copenhagen which is around 5 kms. from Omøgade 8 (according to the route finder tool on the Danish Scandic website www.scandic-hotels.dk)
I know it is a bit of a longer way, but if you have the choice you can also chose the Hilton at CPH..
Regarding benefits.. As far as I can tell you get the same benefits as you do on a Hilton. I don't believe that there is any Exec. Lounge at the Scandic though.

There is no exec lounge but you will get a coupon for the hotel restaurant that will probably get you a nice meal for free!

Yes, but then breakfast is always included in all Scandinavian hotels. Oops, I forgot, not in the Hiltons... ;)
Regarding internet I guess the Scandics are forerunners.
The Hilton is very convienent for the airport as it is attached by a walkway. As you are a HH Diamond you should get upgraded to an Executive Plus room which is just an Executive room but bigger, at least half the size again. These are the 10,20,30 & 40 numbered rooms on the floors (but avoid the 40's as if I remember correctly they back onto the lift shaft). Rooms have high speed internet access at a fee of 150DKK per 24hrs. There is a very nice Executive lounge on the 12th Floor with a view over the airport and bridge to Sweden. Light snacks are served in the lounge from about 5.30pm until about 7.30pm, with free wine/spirits/beer all evening long and also soft drinks. A light continental breakfast is served there also in the morning, also with usually bacon/scrambled eggs. The lounge like the rooms is very scandinavian in look and feel furnishing wise. As its convienent for the airport its also convienent for the train station located there, but I have never used it. Taxi's from the hotel into the centre of Copenhagen cost around 250DKK each way. Restaurant wise in the evening there is a formal restaurant, a serve yourself buffet area and also the choice of bar food.
