www.hilton.com showed Diamond on 7/26. Today I received my welcoming kit. It took about 9 days. Very impressed!

Wow! I thought it took two weeks to stamp a card and send out the VIP kit. So I can expect mine on Aug 9. Hopefully.

I made Diamond on July 30 and was told 3 weeks. Not too bad. :)

Err Guys.
They send them out in batches. I requalified on 7/16 and I too got my card today. :)

What else is in the welcoming kit than the card? I'm asking because I never received the welcoming kit. Called hhonors two months later and complained. They just sent me a "replacement" card.

Couple of little booklets. One had a full explanation as to all the perks I should receive as a Diamond. The other was full of special awards that I believe are only available to Diamonds. I may be wrong, but I have not seen some of these awards anywhere on www.hilton.com, or it's possible that I have not looked hard enough.
That's about it.

Of course "award availability" is an entirely different matter; Silvers and Golds cannot count on the "special arrangements" of a Diamond "override" for award stays, and thus need all the luck they can get to redeem such awards.

Well NOT ALL CARDS.
Both our cards ( Mutual Account) had an expiry date of APRIL 2007.

Ours says April 2006 even though we qualified thru' '07 (verified with Honors by phone). Should we have faith that we will receive '07 cards next year or should we push for them now?

I've received the correct ones eventually and always on time without further prompting.

Maybe mine is different because I qualified through the fastrack offer? Sometime in May they told me to do 7 stays before the end of July.

Yes that is most likely the case. The early ( in terms of when these were introduced a few years ago) Diamond Fast tracks only gave the status until the end of Dec the later ones like yours I presume did make it to the end of the "normal" year ie April.

i was wondering why my diamond card did not arrive :)
than i found it while throwing away advertisements. i had put it there 2 month ago.
i qualified with the 7stay fasttrack, and it says APRIL 2007 .
so i can lay down a bit :) this year and complete my status next year again to get it extended to 2009 than.
as i am 5 stays short of 28stays, i think anyway it will be easy for me to complete my 28th stay in 2006 within the first two month.
