Can you use the Bonus Bucks on a PRICELINE stay? Or does that disqualify the T&C? I thought I read somewhere that you COULD use them -- but I can't find it again  Thanks!

priceline is prepaid
you may be able to use them as credit towards meals/room charges
but you wont get any change back

you will have to ask the gm of the hotel

Yes, I wanted to use it towards restaurants/bars -- not the room. Thanks.

I was able to use a $100 bonus buck once at a Marriott while on a priceline stay. I asked nicely and they allowed me to use it for incidental expenses. I think I got lucky though because that's not standard policy.

I think it will just be a matter of luck, depending on the property.

I thought you could use these on meal charges even when not a guest at the hotel? (It's only something I'm vaguely aware of, no personal experience.) If that's true, there'd be no problem using them on a PL stay.

You must have a 2 night stay in order to use these certificates.

You can use them on a Priceline stay.

We did that in December at the Marriott Marquis in NYC... had a 3 night Priceline stay and used the certificate in the restaurant.

I have been frustrated in using the bonus bucks ($100 from the Buick non-test drive promo) because one must call the toll free number to book per the T&Cs. Otherwise, I would have used it on Priceline stays.

As it turns out, yesterday, I was able to book the Renaissance Riverside Saigon thru the buck promo. Turns out to be perhaps the only good deal out there, pay with Visa get breakfast and another $100 bonus buck on a $97.00++ rate.

Sounds like there are different Bonus Buck certificates floating out there.

The one we used had no requirement to book by calling a specific telephone number.

We had six nights at the MARRIOTT WAIKOLOA (Big Island). We could NOT use the Bonus Bucks on our Priceline stay :( We asked two different people at the front desk. They both pointed to #8 or #9 on the T&C on the back -- which referred to the Bonus Bucks only being used in conjunction with 'public rates' -- which would exclude Priceline & Hotwire.

We had a really nice stay and I knew there was only a 50/50 chance that they would take them (towards the bar or restaurant bill).

Maybe it depends on the property or the manager, but according to those T&C - it seems clear they aren't 'supposed' to take them.

Technically also Marriott Rewards rates (M11/M12), AAA rates and such are not eligible for Bonus Bucks.

All my certs have had the "please call..." but I have always made res on marriott.com and put "guest will use MBB coupon" in the comments field. Never a problem.
