Starwood Preferred Guest - Sheraton FRA Platinum Amenity ?

I was on a cash and points stay at the Sheraton FRA. When I checked I was offered a Platinum Amenity and was told I could have 500 points. I confirmed the agent in the Lounge was going to request this before leaving with my card key. When I checked out the next morning I also I also confirmed my request for 500 points. I also had internet useage. Nothing ever posted so I e-mailed Starwood and was told I am not entitled to any points as this was a cash and points stay. Also the Hotel does not give points as a amenity. They totally skipped over my internet useage. My ? Does the Hotel give 500 points as a Platinum amenity? Should I receive points from my internet useage? Also. Since we are at it. I had to pay for my room. When I checked out I was told the cash amount noted under the cash and points terms did not include tax. So they charged me for tax on my $60 US amount in addition to the points they took. Is that correct? This did not happen on my previous cash and point stays. It was certainly not disclosed. Thanks and regards

Does the Hotel give 500 points as a Platinum amenity?
Was it the Sheraton Frankfurt Hotel & Towers (AKA the Airport Sheraton) you were staying at? They do give 500 points plat amenity, but SPG US will make a fuss and deny they do (happened to me, I was on a pre-paid rate). Contact the property directly and ask nicely (click here (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=424820) for more detailed instructions), they'll probably sort it out for you as they did for me (the points amenity issue that is - don't know about the remaining issues you had with them).
(Did I mention that Sheraton Frankfurt Hotel & Towers is my favourite *wood property in Germany :) ?)

Yes. And yes SPG US made a fuss. So I will go in search of my points by taking the time to contact the Hotel nicely. Thank you for posting.
