Got a direct mail piece yesterday for the YX Mastercard. Looks like they've substantially improved their offering.
Two choices: a $49/yr. World MC or a no-fee Platinum MC. $1/1mile for the paid card; $2/1mile for the free card.
Sign-up teaser: 12,500 miles for the World card or 5,000 miles for the free card.
Transfer bonuses: $1/1mile up to 10,000 miles. $50 fee for the transfer. 0% interest for six months.
A certificate allowing the cardholder to buy a companion ticket for $99 is also included, although I have no idea if it actually has any value or not.
So...for the mileage hound...about $105 buys you 22,500 YX miles and the free use of $10,000 for six months.
Or...for those who just need a little bump, it's 5,000 free miles there for the taking.
I also found that offer in the Midwest airlines magazine on the plane. Here is the link if anyone is interested:

Awesome...looks like the same terms as the direct mail piece I received. Good to know there's an online link to apply. Thanks!! ^

What did their offer used to be?
Is the companion ticket available for the no-fee card too?

Edited to add: Clicking on the link answers my second question. The answer is no.

The previous standard offer was 7500 signup, 5000 for balance transfer, $69 annual fee. Same $50 transfer fee and 0% for six months on the $5k.
Or you could do the free card for 2500 signup, I think.

Nice post. I saw this deal in the magazine on my flight this w-end.
I also saw the old offer on the napkins:
Old Offer (http://www.midwestairlines.com/mm61)
The $69 Annual Fee World MasterCard
Get started with 7,500 Bonus Miles
Earn an additional 5,000 for Balance Transfers
I also found this deal messing around today.
Different Offer (http://www.midwestairlines.com/mm63)
The $39 Annual Fee World MasterCard
Get started with 7,500 Bonus Miles
Earn an additional 10,000 for Balance Transfers
I can't vouch for their validity...

Nice...yet another option. As far as I know, YX is the only airline with a card that throttles the annual fee based on the mileage teaser you choose upfront. (Within the same $1/1mile product, that is.) Usually it is what it is, and every once in a while a one-year fee waiver promo comes along.
Makes me want to poke around with the codes a bit and see if there's a $59 or $69 card with a BIG (>12.5k + 10k xfer) upfront bonus. @:-)

Cha-ching! I got it in the mail yesterday.
$69 annual fee, 20k with first purchase, up to 10k on your balance transfers, 0% for six months, $50 upfront juice on the xfer.
So $125 buys you 30k, the $99 companion fare, and six months free moolah.
Offer code is 5939.
We're considering signing up my wife for this card. I took advantage of the $105 for 22.5k offer already. (Miles post very quickly, for those who are wondering...)
The only thing that makes the new offer less rewarding for me is that I don't actually have $10k working somewhere that needs a new home. All of my teaser cash has a home for six months or longer as it is.

Maybe you can have the balance transfer deposited into a checking account??? MBNA lets me do that for balance transfers, maybe they will.
