US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - BofA card warning ... check the envelope.

I got my bill a couple of days ago. I generally keep the itemization portion and throw out the rest, usually ads.

Just before I dumped it into the shredder, I happened to look at the last sheet in the envelope. There, hiding with the ads, was my $99 companion cert and a free Club pass!

Moral of the story ... check everything out before you toss it.

right---same here! Question--does anyone know when in the year these are supposed to arrive? I don't remember my renewal month. Do these come in the same bill that the annual fee is charged? Or is it the month after? Thanks!

Yes. July is my renewal month, and the goodies came with the annual fee!

wasnt there some odd delineation of when the renewal date-based pass mailing would start, like July 05?

its not like everyone who had a January renewal date got it in January..

I received the items with my June 20th statement, one month prior to my July 20th renewal statement.

Just received this in an email from BofA

Effective April 2005, annual certificates will be sent, with the
statement that contains the annual fee, if the account is open and in
good standing.

My anniversary date is March, so I have to wait until March 2006 before I get anything :(

I have to wait until February. :( It reminds me of that year I switched jobs internally, got scr#$%d out of my annual raise because I had just made a jump to a higher leve (but with no raise), and went 18 months between raises!!

I hope the expiration date for the new passes isn't 6/30/06.

My pass, received this month, is valid Aug 1 2005 - July 31, 2006

I was thinking the same thing -- people like SS255 have to go over a year to receive their yearly pass. I cancelled my account last week during my lengthy layover in PHL for this very reason

I take it the $99 companion certificates are not personalized?

Would anyone care to share the Star Code that is on them?

I believe the star code #s are personalized. I found this out when I let my parents use my pass before it expired in June. They had already used theirs. I just gave them the star code #, and they made the reservations themselves. The res agent told them the pass could only be used one time, and I'm just assuming that the star code number was how they kept track of the usage. Of course, we didn't compare star code numbers before they used their pass, so it's possible they just noted in my record that my pass had been used.

I spoke to a BoA supervisor and go some slightly modified info on the $99 certificates.

They have switched from calendar year to rolling 12 months. They will be mailing the certificates out with statements. BUT - this guy said that it is not actually with your statement containing the annual fee, but with the statement which matches your "enrollment date", whatever that is.

For most people this seems to be about the same, as it is for one of my two BoA cards.

For the other, older card, however, my annual fee is June, but my "enrollment date" is February, so I didn't get the cert in June and he *promises* it will be there in February. Since I have used both (two cards, remember) in the past, I hope he's right.
