Starwood Preferred Guest - 4 Pts Milwaukee North/Brown Deer Quick Report

Checked into 4 Pts Milwaukee North/Brown Deer. Previous good experiences here. This time, no recognition of gold. Not a "welcome back, Mr. Chop" comment even though I stayed several times before. Assigned a room in middle of the hallway on first floor. Floor plan shows it to be an average room. There are bigger ones at end of hallway. No offer of late checkout (but I didn't need one anyway). Front desk people very indifferent attitude. When I checked out, no question about how my stay was, etc.
Restaurant used to look pretty nice. Now it looks more like a cafeteria. Decided not to eat there.
Wireless Internet signal very weak.
Good side: hotel recently renovated. Nice looking rooms. Curved shower rod. The new bed, etc.
BUT, someone stole the morning newspaper outside my room! What has the world come to? No matter. Went to the front desk to ask for another copy, but was told they were out. :(
Relative to previous experience here, this was a disappointing stay.

How do you know someone stole your paper? Maybe the hotel was out before they delivered to your room? @:-)

Actually, I was up when they threw the newspaper outside my door. And I could see the paper's shadow under the door. My mistake was to waste twenty minutes before opening the door to get it...

@:-) Maybe they should give me 5000 *pts! :D Nah, seriously, I was just venting. It was just a newspaper, but it's the front desk's nonchalance that sort of got to me.
