US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - in airport now - need help

My flight, 84 DCA to MHT was cancelled. They claim it was weather in MHT because the thunderstorms in DCA had just ended.

Now, the problem is that I was connecting to another reservation leaving tomorrow morning at 6:45 from LEB to PBI (with my family). The reservation agent said because this was two different reservations she is unable to put me on a direct flight from DCA to PBI tomorrow without paying $180 for a new ticket.

Any pointers in getting US Air to help me out on this one? Or am I completely screwed? US cancels a flight and I have to pay $180 to get to my final destination? Doesn't seem right.

I'm not sure what the US fee for change of tixs, but from the sounds of it, you're screwed.

There is US #1716 DCA-PHL 830pm-932pm connecting to US #932 PHL-MHT 1055pm-1209am. Showing ontime for both flights and only 6 seats left on PHL-MHT portion.

I am looking directly into US system using SABRE Direct Connect and show 6 seats on that DCA-PHL-MHT series..
