US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Anyone home?

I know that they are planning a merger- which I enhusiastically support- and that they are short on executives because everyone is jumping ship!
But can the remaining people try to play along as if they were running the business for the few months before the merger?
As I am flying Business class (ENVOY) quite a bit I am surprised about the complete lack of DM promotions for months! As I am bombarded with bonus promotions by the competition- AA last week- US seems to sleep along in Crystal City. Seems to me that they just have stopped any meaningfull marketing for the time being. It is also mirrored in the sad state of the threat about bonus promotions no new entry for a month.
You do not have to be Einstein in at least matching the competition even in such a time of change for the company.

Well, for starters there's been the online booking Preferred miles bonus. And the CP challenge. And bonuses for flights to Ireland and Scotland. And double miles to the new DCA routes. etc. etc.

I agree Ced, there's been SOME bonuses, but nothing that covered the masses like last year.

So far this year:

- 25th Anniversary - A nice bonus, but ended early in the year.
- CP/GP/SP Challenges are all "targeted", so that big promo is limited.
- Online booking bonus - nothing compared to past years' bonuses.
- DC bonus - a nice bonus.
- Ireland bonus - a nice bonus but a limited audience.

Heck, last year we had a great promo year:

- with the "Buy 3 Get One Free" promo
- GoFare 2x/3x Promos
- Double Vision Promo
- 25th Anniversary Promo (late in the year)
