I think Gangwal (who was smart enough to get out when he could) and Ashby worked together at United. Presumably this is a test to see if an American guy can wreck an Indian airline as well as an Indian guy can an American one. Word out of India is that the new airline will set up call centers in the US for reservations. The Indians are pissed, because they say they can't understand the agents when they speak. What's next for InDiGo, a codeshare with Spirit? :D
