I imagine that there has been a thread about this before...

I currently have the Delta Skymiles Platinum and the HHonors Platinum. I am contemplating changing these credit cards to ones that I can use in the Membership Rewards program.

I know that by going with the MR program I will have more flexibility with my points, but which path do you think I will earn more points overall. I will spend over 25 grand on both cards.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

thanks

I would go with the *wood Platinum Amex because *points are worth more in value when transferring to an airline program. *wood offers a 5,000 bonus when you transfer 20,000 points into the mileage program of your choice. Additionally, there is no transfer fee, unlike membership rewards. Annual fee is only $30 with 10,000 *point bonus opportunity the first year.

I personally like the Delta Platinum because you are eligible to get 10k EQM with $25k spend. If Delta is your primary carrier, then I would stick with the Delta card as it has many double miles opportunities as well.
