US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Upgrade ?

I called USAirways to see if I could upgrade my flight today from DCA-BOS and I was told that I had already been upgraded. I asked if I needed to recheck in and I was told yes. I tried online checkin (again) and it said I was already checked in. Is this normal or was I not really upgraded? Is there a way to check? Thanks for the help. I am also on a United ticket if that makes a difference.

You can't re-checkin, but you'll need to get new BP's that have the FC seating on them.
